This 300 mm heavy-duty swivel castor is designed for extreme industrial handling applications where exceptional load capacity, durability and controlled manoeuvrability are essential. Built with a robust steel housing and a reinforced top plate, this castor is ideal for heavy machinery, large mobile platforms and demanding material-handling environments.
With a static load capacity of 2400 kg per castor and a dynamic load capacity of 4800 kg, this model provides outstanding strength and reliability under both stationary and moving loads. The ball journal bearing swivel head ensures smooth, stable rotation, even under very high weights, reducing stress on operators when repositioning heavy equipment.
The castor is fitted with a 300 mm diameter polyurethane on cast iron wheel, combining a solid cast iron core for maximum structural strength with a high-performance polyurethane tread that delivers excellent wear resistance and reduced rolling resistance. The extra-wide 100 mm tread, manufactured to handle intense loads, helps distribute weight evenly and enhances stability. Designed to operate within a –20 °C to +60 °C temperature range, this castor performs reliably in demanding industrial conditions.
A heavy-duty top plate measuring 178 × 153 mm, with 127 × 102 mm hole centres and 17 mm fixing holes, provides a secure and rigid mounting to fabricated frames and heavy steel structures. With a total castor height of 434 mm and a 230 mm swivel radius, this castor offers excellent clearance and controlled swivel movement for large-scale handling equipment.
This 300 mm heavy-duty swivel castor is well suited for:
Heavy industrial machinery and plant equipment
Large fabricated steel frames and platforms
Manufacturing and engineering environments
Heavy-duty trolleys, stillages and transport systems
Applications requiring very high load capacity with smooth swivel control
Ross Handling supplies industrial-grade castors built for demanding environments, where strength, performance and longevity are critical. This 300 mm heavy-duty swivel castor with polyurethane on cast iron wheel delivers dependable operation for applications requiring maximum load support and smooth handling.
