Two Leicestershire-based companies are celebrating over 10 years of working together, in which time they have created a special working relationship. Ross Handling has been supplying high quality castors to Geary’s Bakery for the last decade, allowing the ‘champion craft bakers’ to meet the demand of their hungry customers.

Geary’s first approached Ross Handling in 2005 and since then the leading suppliers of wheels and castors has been a fundamental part of ‘proving’, a fermentation process necessary for creating yeast breads.

Managing Director Jason Geary, explains their reasons behind their enduring relationship with Ross. “Working with local companies is important to us; even to this day Ross Handling have consistently offered good customer service and a great quality product.”

Since their first introduction, the award winning bakery has insisted that there is no one else for the job. Jason continues, “The high quality, stabilised wheels are used for transporting bread during the proving process; it is vital that we have durable and stable wheels to ensure a smooth transfer from prover to oven.”

Geary’s Bakery have recently expanded into the adjoining building due to the ever increasing clientele and plans have just been approved for a second 60,000sq. ft bakery at Optimus point in Glenfield, Leicester.

As their business grows so does their requirement for Ross Handling products. Geary’s explains, “We order from Ross Handling around once a year; we don’t order to replace the wheels we already have, but simply to cover the increasing demand!”

Ross Fitzpatrick, Managing Director for Ross Handling, commented, “As a family run business we understand the importance of strong business relationships. It has been a fantastic ten years working with Geary’s Bakery and we look forward to ten more.”
