Description

This 100 mm high temperature swivel castor with brake and high temperature rubber wheel is designed for heat-resistant applications where controlled manoeuvrability, secure braking and reliable performance at elevated temperatures are required. The swivel action allows smooth directional changes, while the integrated swivel and wheel brake enables equipment to be locked securely when stationary.

With a load capacity of 75 kg per castor, this model is suitable for light- to medium-duty thermal applications, including ovens, heat chambers and temperature-controlled environments. The ball bearing construction provides smooth, low-friction rolling performance and consistent movement under load.

The high temperature rubber wheel offers a balance of heat resistance and shock absorption, with an operating temperature range from –30°C to +260°C. The 100 mm wheel diameter and 33 mm tread width provide stable rolling on hard indoor surfaces, while the red wheel colour improves visibility in industrial settings.

While the full swivel and wheel brake allows the castor to be locked securely, it should be noted that in high-temperature applications, applying the brake while the wheel is still hot can place increased pressure on the rubber tyre. Over time, this may contribute to reduced wheel service life. Where possible, allowing the wheel to cool before engaging the brake can help maximise durability and performance.

A robust top plate fixing ensures secure installation and dependable operation in demanding thermal environments.
