MACHINE MOVING SKATES

A machine moving skate is a steel platform fitted with low profile swivel castors attached underneath, onto which a load may be placed. These pieces of handling equipment are frequently used to transport heavy machinery and other large loads within industrial workplaces. Each machine skate we offer is made of excellent quality and has been specifically designed with ease of use and maximum safety in mind.

What materials are our industrial skates made from?
Our selection of machine skates are made of heavy duty steel plates that have an epoxy paint finish in traffic light red.

What material are the wheels?
Each load moving skate is fitted with black non-marking polyurethane wheels as they offer a higher load-bearing capacity than rubber wheels!

What's the load capacity of our rotating dollies?
We offer two load options 2 tonnes (2000kg) and 4 tonnes (4000kg). The 360 degree rotating dollies means that loads can be kept close to the ground and turned in any direction. They are fitted with non-slip rubber swivel pads for additional manoeuvrability.

Do your skates come with a steering bar?
No, however, this can be purchased separately on our website. This is advised in order to help manoeuvre your skates once loaded. Each skate has a carry handle for ease of transportation.

Best way to use our machine moving skates?
To get the best use it's advised that you use two pull handles and have two people pulling simultaneously.

Benefits of your skates?
There are just so many to list, however here are a few of the key benefits...

  1. Minimal maintenance work and a reduced risk of floor damage due to the polyurethane wheels!
  2. Easy to manoeuvre and get into tight spaces as each skate is fitted with swivel castors.
  3. Simple to use with near-effortless movement combined with easy change of direction.
