What Are Pneumatics Wheels and How Do They work?

It consists of a wheel that has a rubber tyre filled with air.

 

How do they work? The air pressure inside the tyre is greater than the air pressure in the atmosphere. This means the tyre can carry the load without going flat.

These tyres can suit 8 different axle sizes ( hub bore ) from 12mm up to 1" ( 25.4mm). 

They come with a choice of bore and bearing:

  • Plain bore (PW) wheels which are the easiest to maintain and offer a hassle free wheel.
  • Roller bearing ( PWR) wheels to make your equipment easier to move.
  • Sealed ball journal (PWP) wheel as this makes moving equipment and trolleys much easier, especially in wet or marine environments.
