Our Machine Moving Industrial Skates are a personal favourite - they’re fantastically versatile, have a massive load capacity, are low-profile and so easy to manoeuvre. So it’s always great to see them put to good use by our customers!
The company Green Unit bought some of our load moving Skates recently and are putting them to work on their factory floor. This company constructs beautiful, modular, eco-friendly buildings for use as offices, wellbeing and healthcare units, classrooms, visitor centres, and much more.
They’re currently in the process of massively upscaling their operation which includes expanding their factory, so we’re sure our heavy duty rollers are getting put through their paces.
The Machine Skates are primarily being used by Green Unit to move their buildings through the production phases within the factory, before the completed buildings are finally moved out of the factory for transportation to the customer. The multidirectional nature of the Skates means that the Green Unit production team are able to easily control how they move the buildings throughout the factory - something they were struggling to do before.
As you can see from the below examples of some of their work, these industrial Skates are ideal since they have a 4 tonne load capacity per unit - a necessity for some of the huge modular buildings this company is producing!
The most recent project that our Machine Skates have been used on is a respite and wellbeing unit for NHS staff at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The modular building will provide a beautiful, calm and peaceful space for hospital staff to use when they need a break from their busy work environment - a nice reward to those working so hard over the past year.
