This 160mm medium duty jacking castor with brake is designed for applications requiring higher load capacity, controlled mobility and secure stabilisation of industrial and commercial equipment. Once positioned, the integrated jacking mechanism allows the unit to be raised by 76mm, lifting the wheel clear of the floor so the load is transferred safely and securely to the jack foot.
Fitted with a swivel polyurethane wheel bonded to a nylon core and an integrated brake, this castor delivers an excellent balance of strength, shock absorption and floor protection. The polyurethane tread helps reduce rolling noise and vibration compared to standard nylon wheels, while still providing smooth rolling performance on hard industrial surfaces. The roller bearing construction ensures consistent rolling under load, and the brake prevents unwanted movement before and during the jacking process.
With a 200kg load capacity per castor (400kg when used as a pair), this jacking castor is ideal for heavier workbenches, machinery and equipment where accurate positioning and firm, vibration-free stabilisation are essential.
Wheel Diameter: 160mm
Load Capacity: 200kg per castor (400kg per pair)
Wheel Type: Swivel with Brake
Lift Height: 76mm
Wheel Material: Polyurethane on Nylon
Operating Method: 24mm spanner
This medium duty braked jacking castor with polyurethane wheel is suitable for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications, including:
Heavy-duty workbenches and mobile stations
Machinery and production equipment
Assembly fixtures and inspection tables
Workshop and maintenance equipment
Applications requiring precise positioning and secure stabilisation
The polyurethane tread provides improved grip, reduced noise and enhanced floor protection, making this castor suitable for mixed industrial environments.
Ross Handling supplies reliable, industrial-grade mobility and positioning solutions selected for strength, durability and ease of use. This medium duty braked jacking castor offers an effective combination of manoeuvrability, braking and secure load support, making it a dependable choice for applications where equipment must be positioned safely and held firmly in place.
