This 160 mm heavy-duty fixed fabricated top plate castor is designed for applications requiring very high load capacity, durability and stable straight-line movement. Built with a reinforced fabricated steel housing, it delivers outstanding strength and long-term reliability in demanding industrial environments.
With an impressive load capacity of 860 kg per castor, this unit is ideal for heavy machinery, industrial frames and large transport platforms where stability is critical. The fixed castor configuration ensures consistent directional travel, making it particularly suitable for guided movement applications or equipment that must track in a straight line.
The castor is fitted with a 160 mm diameter polyurethane on cast iron wheel, combining a solid cast iron core with a high-performance polyurethane tread for excellent load distribution and wear resistance. The 60 mm wide tread, produced to a hard-wearing A92 Shore hardness, offers smooth rolling characteristics while helping to protect floor surfaces. Designed for operation in temperatures ranging from –40 °C to +60 °C, this castor performs reliably across a wide range of industrial conditions.
A heavy-duty top plate measuring 135 × 110 mm, with 105 × 80/75 mm hole centres and 10 mm fixing holes, ensures secure mounting to steel structures and fabricated equipment. With a total castor height of 205 mm, this castor provides increased ground clearance while maintaining excellent load stability.
This 160 mm heavy-duty fixed fabricated castor is well suited for:
Heavy machinery and fabricated steel frames
Industrial trolleys and transport platforms
Manufacturing, fabrication and engineering environments
Guided track or straight-line movement systems
Applications requiring very high load capacity with controlled movement
Ross Handling supplies industrial-grade castors engineered for strength, safety and long service life. This 160 mm fixed fabricated castor with polyurethane on cast iron wheel is an excellent choice where load capacity, durability and stability are essential.
