Description
This 250 mm heavy-duty swivel fabricated top plate castor is engineered for extreme load-bearing applications, offering outstanding strength, durability and smooth manoeuvrability in demanding industrial environments. Built with a reinforced fabricated steel housing, this castor is designed to handle continuous use under very high loads, making it ideal for heavy machinery, large mobile platforms and industrial transport systems.
With a maximum load capacity of 1800 kg per castor, this unit provides exceptional support for the heaviest equipment. The ball bearing swivel head delivers smooth and controlled rotation, even when fully loaded, ensuring reliable handling and reduced operator effort when repositioning heavy loads.
The castor features a 250 mm diameter polyurethane on cast iron wheel, combining a solid cast iron core for maximum structural strength with a high-quality polyurethane tread that offers excellent wear resistance and reduced rolling resistance. The extra-wide 80 mm tread, manufactured to A92 Shore hardness, provides superior load distribution, stability and long service life. Designed to operate within a –40 °C to +60 °C temperature range, this castor performs reliably across a wide range of industrial conditions.
A heavy-duty top plate measuring 175 × 140 mm, with 140 × 105 mm hole centres and 15 mm fixing holes, ensures a secure and rigid mounting to fabricated frames and steel structures. With a total castor height of 315 mm and a 210 mm swivel radius, this castor offers a stable footprint while maintaining excellent swivel performance for precise control of very heavy loads.
