This 250mm heavy duty swivel fabricated top plate castor is engineered for extreme load handling applications where strength, stability and long-term reliability are critical. Manufactured with a heavy-duty fabricated steel housing and a polyurethane wheel bonded to a cast iron core, this castor is designed to perform consistently in demanding industrial environments.
The castor features a precision ball bearing swivel head, allowing for smooth rotation and controlled manoeuvrability even when operating under very high loads. Its large 250mm wheel diameter helps reduce rolling resistance and enables easier movement over uneven surfaces, debris and expansion joints commonly found in warehouses and production facilities.
With an impressive load capacity of 1800kg per castor, this unit is suitable for handling extremely heavy machinery and equipment. The wide 80mm polyurethane tread offers excellent load distribution, reduced vibration and improved floor protection compared to traditional metal wheels, while still maintaining outstanding durability.
Designed for versatility, this castor operates reliably within a temperature range of -40°C to +60°C, making it suitable for both cold storage and standard industrial conditions. The top plate fixing provides a secure mounting solution, with a total castor height of 315mm and a swivel radius of 210mm, which should be considered when planning installation and clearance requirements.
This heavy duty swivel fabricated castor is commonly used in applications such as:
Heavy industrial machinery and equipment
Steel fabrication and engineering workshops
Manufacturing and production lines
Heavy-duty transport frames and stillages
Pallet handling systems and industrial trolleys
Warehousing and logistics environments
Extremely high load capacity suitable for demanding industrial use
Durable polyurethane on cast iron wheel for strength and floor protection
Smooth swivel action with ball bearing raceway for improved manoeuvrability
