This 150 mm Apex heavy-duty swivel braked castor is engineered for applications that demand high load capacity, smooth manoeuvrability and reliable braking control. The swivel head allows full 360-degree rotation, while the integrated wheel brake enables the castor to be securely locked in position when required, improving safety and stability during loading, unloading and stationary use.
With a 454 kg load capacity per castor, this unit is ideal for heavy industrial equipment and transport systems. A ball journal bearing ensures smooth rolling performance under high loads, helping to reduce rolling resistance and maintain consistent movement over time.
The castor is fitted with a 150 mm diameter ergonomic polyurethane wheel, finished in yellow, designed to significantly reduce push and pull forces compared with standard polyurethane wheels. The 50 mm wide tread and Shore A87 hardness provide excellent load distribution while offering improved shock absorption and floor protection. The wheel operates reliably within a temperature range of –20 °C to +60 °C, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and warehouse environments.
A robust top plate fixing measuring 140 × 110 mm provides secure mounting and effective load transfer into the equipment frame. The plate features 105 × 80/75 mm hole centres with 10 mm bolt holes, allowing straightforward installation onto heavy-duty fabricated structures. The castor has a total height of 195 mm and a 150 mm swivel radius, ensuring stable handling even under maximum load conditions.
This Apex swivel braked castor is well suited to:
Heavy-duty industrial trolleys and carts
Manufacturing and assembly line equipment
Mobile machinery and workstations
Transport platforms requiring controlled movement with secure braking
Applications where operator comfort and load stability are critical
Ross Handling supplies premium Apex heavy-duty castors designed to deliver strength, durability and reduced rolling resistance. This 150 mm swivel braked castor with ergonomic polyurethane wheel offers a dependable solution for demanding industrial environments where both manoeuvrability and braking performance are essential.
