This 160mm electro-conductive castor with a directional lock is engineered for applications that require controlled straight-line movement and static charge dissipation in sensitive environments. The electrically conductive rubber tread safely channels static electricity, helping protect equipment and components in electronics manufacturing, cleanrooms, laboratories and other ESD-controlled areas where electrostatic discharge must be managed.
The directional lock feature enables this castor to track straight when engaged, providing stable forward motion and minimising unwanted sideways movement — ideal for long runs or guided paths where predictable movement is crucial. A ball journal bearing ensures smooth rolling performance under load, and the fixed tracking position provides reliability in operation.
Fitted with a polyurethane tyre bonded to a cast iron core, this castor delivers robust load support, excellent wear resistance and floor protection while reducing noise. With a 350kg load capacity per castor (1050kg for a set of four), it’s well suited to medium-duty trolleys, equipment carts and mobile platforms that require both load support and ESD control.
Load Capacity: 350kg per castor / 1050kg per 4

ESD-sensitive environments
Electronics manufacturing and assembly
Cleanrooms and laboratories
Mobile workstations and guided carts
Equipment requiring straight tracking and static control
The directional lock helps ensure smooth, reliable tracking where equipment is expected to move in a straight line.
Ross Handling supplies castors selected for industrial reliability, effective ESD management and consistent performance. This electro-conductive castor with directional lock offers a dependable solution where static dissipation, guided movement and robust load support are essential, making it an excellent choice for demanding environments that need both movement control and electrostatic safety
