This 160 mm heavy-duty swivel fabricated castor is designed for extreme industrial applications where very high load capacity, strength and controlled manoeuvrability are critical. Built with a heavy-duty fabricated steel housing, this castor is engineered to perform reliably in demanding environments such as manufacturing plants, logistics hubs and heavy equipment installations.
With an outstanding 860 kg load capacity per castor, this unit is suitable for supporting substantial static and dynamic loads. The ball journal bearing swivel head ensures smooth, stable rotation under load, reducing friction and improving ease of movement when manoeuvring large or heavily laden equipment.
The castor is fitted with a 160 mm diameter polyurethane on cast iron wheel, combining a solid cast iron core for maximum strength with a high-performance polyurethane tread for durability and improved floor protection. The 60 mm wide tread and 92 Shore A hardness deliver excellent load distribution, reduced rolling resistance and long service life, even under continuous use. The wheel performs reliably across a –40 °C to +60 °C temperature range, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor industrial environments.
A 135 × 110 mm top plate with 105 × 80/75 mm hole centres and 10 mm bolt holes provides secure and stable mounting to heavy-duty frames and machinery. This swivel castor has a total height of 205 mm and a 137 mm swivel radius, offering a well-balanced combination of stability and manoeuvrability for large mobile installations.
This 160 mm heavy-duty swivel fabricated castor is ideal for:
Heavy industrial machinery and equipment
Fabricated steel frames and mobile bases
Manufacturing and engineering environments
Warehouse and logistics handling systems
Applications requiring very high load capacity with controlled swivel movement
Ross Handling’s fabricated heavy-duty castor range is designed for maximum strength, durability and long-term performance. This 160 mm swivel castor with polyurethane on cast iron wheel offers an excellent solution for applications demanding exceptional load capacity, smooth rolling and robust construction.
