This 250 mm fixed heavy-duty fabricated top plate castor is engineered for extreme static and dynamic load applications where maximum strength, straight-line stability and long-term durability are essential. The reinforced fabricated steel housing provides exceptional structural integrity, making this castor ideal for the most demanding industrial environments.
With an outstanding load capacity of 1800 kg per castor, it is perfectly suited to heavy machinery, large fabricated frames, industrial platforms and production equipment. The fixed (rigid) configuration ensures stable, straight-line movement, making it the ideal choice where controlled tracking is required and swivel movement is not necessary.
The castor is fitted with a 250 mm diameter polyurethane on cast iron wheel, combining a high-strength cast iron core with a premium A92 Shore polyurethane tread. This construction delivers excellent load distribution, reduced rolling resistance and superior wear resistance, while also helping to protect floor surfaces compared to plain cast iron. The wheel is suitable for operating temperatures from –40 °C to +60 °C, ensuring reliable performance in a wide range of industrial conditions.
A large heavy-duty top plate measuring 175 × 140 mm, with 140 × 105 mm hole centres and 13 mm fixing holes, provides a secure and stable mounting platform for heavy fabricated structures. The total castor height of 245 mm offers strong ground clearance while maintaining excellent load control and rigidity under extreme weights.
This 250 mm fixed heavy-duty fabricated castor is ideal for:
Heavy industrial machinery and static equipment
Large fabricated steel frames and bases
Manufacturing and engineering environments
Heavy-duty transport systems requiring straight-line travel
Applications demanding maximum load capacity without swivel movement
Ross Handling supplies industrial castors designed for safety, strength and long service life. This 250 mm fixed fabricated castor with polyurethane on cast iron wheel is a premium solution for applications requiring exceptional load capacity and rigid directional control.
