This 250 mm fixed heavy-duty top plate castor is designed for applications where straight-line stability, maximum load capacity and long-term durability are essential. The fixed (rigid) configuration ensures consistent directional movement, making it ideal for equipment that must track accurately without lateral swivel movement.
Engineered to support a high load capacity of 1700 kg per castor, this unit is well suited to heavy industrial machinery, large stillages, fabrication frames and production line transport systems. The robust construction allows it to perform reliably under both static and dynamic loads in demanding working environments.
The castor is fitted with a 250 mm diameter polyurethane on cast iron wheel, combining exceptional strength with reduced rolling resistance. The A92 Shore polyurethane tread offers excellent wear resistance while helping to protect floor surfaces compared to plain cast iron wheels. This wheel is suitable for use in temperatures ranging from –40 °C to +60 °C, providing dependable performance across a wide range of industrial conditions.
A large heavy-duty top plate measuring 200 × 160 mm, with 160 × 120 mm hole centres and 10 mm fixing holes, allows for secure and stable mounting to heavy equipment and fabricated steel structures. With a total castor height of 305 mm, this fixed castor provides increased ground clearance while maintaining excellent load distribution and stability.
This 250 mm fixed heavy-duty castor is commonly used on:
Heavy industrial machinery
Fabricated steel frames and stillages
Factory transport platforms
Production line equipment
Applications requiring high load capacity with straight-line travel
Ross Handling supplies industrial castors engineered for strength, reliability and long service life. This 250 mm fixed heavy-duty castor with polyurethane on cast iron wheel offers outstanding performance where directional control and heavy load handling are critical.
