Description
This 250 mm heavy-duty swivel castor is engineered for extreme industrial applications where very high load capacity, durability and controlled manoeuvrability are essential. Built around a robust fabricated steel top plate housing, this castor is designed to perform reliably under sustained heavy loads in demanding environments such as manufacturing plants, engineering facilities and heavy material handling operations.
With a maximum load capacity of 1700 kg per castor, it is suitable for supporting exceptionally heavy machinery, large fabricated frames and high-capacity mobile equipment. The ball journal bearing swivel head provides smooth, controlled rotation under extreme loads, ensuring stable steering and reduced effort when manoeuvring even the heaviest applications.
The castor features a 250 mm diameter polyurethane on cast iron wheel, combining a solid cast iron core for maximum structural strength with a high-performance polyurethane tread for durability, reduced rolling resistance and improved floor protection. The extra-wide 80 mm tread, manufactured to A92 Shore hardness, delivers excellent load distribution and long service life, even in continuous heavy-duty use. Designed to operate within a –40 °C to +60 °C temperature range, this castor performs consistently in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments.
A large heavy-duty top plate measuring 200 × 160 mm, with 160 × 120 mm hole centres and 14 mm bolt holes, ensures exceptionally secure fixing to substantial steel structures and fabricated bases. With a total castor height of 305 mm and a 199 mm swivel radius, this castor offers outstanding stability while maintaining precise, controlled swivel movement for oversized loads.
