Description
This 250 mm swivel heavy-duty fabricated top plate castor is engineered for demanding industrial applications where high load capacity, durability and controlled manoeuvrability are essential. The fabricated steel housing provides exceptional structural strength, making it suitable for heavy equipment where standard pressed steel castors would be insufficient.
Designed to support a load capacity of 1400 kg per castor, this unit is ideal for heavy machinery, fabrication frames, industrial stillages and large transport platforms. The swivel configuration, combined with a ball bearing swivel head, ensures smooth rotation and reliable steering, even under substantial static and dynamic loads.
The castor is fitted with a 250 mm diameter polyurethane on cast iron wheel, offering a combination of high mechanical strength and excellent wear resistance. The A92 Shore polyurethane tread reduces rolling resistance while providing improved floor protection compared to plain cast iron wheels. This wheel is suitable for operating temperatures between –40 °C and +60 °C, making it well-suited to a wide range of industrial environments.
A heavy-duty top plate measuring 138 × 110 mm, with 105 × 80/75 mm hole centres and 11 mm fixing holes, allows for secure mounting to fabricated frames and equipment. The total castor height of 300 mm provides additional ground clearance while maintaining stability under heavy loads.
