Description
This 200 mm Apex heavy-duty swivel braked castor is designed for applications requiring maximum load capacity, smooth manoeuvrability and dependable braking performance. The full swivel head allows 360-degree rotation for easy directional control, while the integrated wheel brake enables the castor to be securely locked in position when stationary, improving safety during loading, unloading and operational use.
With an impressive 544 kg load capacity per castor, this model is well suited to demanding industrial environments. The inclusion of a ball journal bearing ensures smooth, consistent rolling under heavy loads, helping to reduce effort when moving large or fully laden equipment.
The castor is fitted with a 200 mm diameter ergonomic polyurethane wheel, finished in yellow, specifically engineered to significantly reduce push and pull forces compared with standard polyurethane wheels. The 50 mm wide tread combined with a Shore A92 hardness provides excellent load distribution, durability and resistance to wear, while also offering improved floor protection. The wheel performs reliably within a –20 °C to +60 °C temperature range, making it suitable for a wide variety of industrial and warehouse conditions.
A strong top plate fixing measuring 140 × 110 mm ensures secure mounting and effective load transfer into the equipment frame. The plate features 105 × 80/75 mm hole centres with 10 mm bolt holes, allowing straightforward installation onto heavy-duty fabricated structures. This castor has a total height of 240 mm and a 160 mm swivel radius, providing stable handling even at maximum load capacity.
